Week 1: September 5-10 Agent 004's Work

Schedule Changes: There is no school on Monday, September 5 in honor of Labor Day.  We will be attending the diocesan homeschool Mass on Thursday, September 8, and thus will not have Latin, American History, or English lessons on that day.

        • Start a document to contain all Book of Discovery narrations
    • Thursday: Practical Geologist: p6 What is a Practical Geologist?

  • American History -- all readings from From Sea to Shining Sea unless otherwise noted
      • A legible handwritten narration for each reading should be placed in the American History section of the black binder.  Please label each narration with date and section title; there is no need to start a new page for each narration.  Also remember to collect dates and images for your timeline.
    • Tuesday: St. Brendan.  Pages 1-4
      • Sketch a map of St. Brendan’s possible route and include this with your narration
    • Wednesday: Viking Explorers Discover a New World p5-9
      • Be prepared to find Greenland, Norway, Iceland, and Labrador at next Tuesday’s check-in
    • Thursday: No reading because of homeschool Mass
  • World History -- all readings from Story of the World unless otherwise noted
      • Please write a narration for each assignment.  These may be either  handwritten or typed.  They must be labelled and placed in the appropriate section of the black binder. Remember to collect dates and images for your timeline.

    • Please note that the purple binder has been set up with four sections
        • Reading notes : you are expected to take handwritten notes on ALL readings

      • Your binder will be checked regularly for assignment completion and must be presented at check-in on Wednesdays.  Keep it organized and please return it to the shelf when daily assignment is complete.
    • Science is listed as neither “independent” work, nor “with Mama” work because it will vary from week to week and day to day how much assistance you will need.  Please do science work in the afternoon as your sister finishes her “With Mama” time.  I have scheduled disturbable housework for myself during that time.

  1. Science assignments must be tweaked for length. Tuesday's reading was spread over two days. Friday's lab will be done on Monday without a write-up.
